Agricultural Commission · Meeting of January 22, 2026

FALMOUTH — Agricultural Commission discussed farmland preservation initiatives, with Chair Stan Ingram committing to draft conservation fund proposals. The commission explored establishing a conservation fund partnership with Farming Falmouth and the 300 Committee, to be proposed to the Select Board on February 20. Discussion included the Botello Farm on Carriage Shop Road, listed at $2 million for 23 acres with prime soils and irrigation, and the 186 Sandwich Road property, a 6.2-acre parcel closing in April with a conservation buyer.

The commission unanimously approved prior meeting minutes and scheduled conservation monitoring for March.
