Beach Committee discusses spring season preparations and vendor plans

Falmouth Beach Committee plans to bring food vendors to five beaches this spring. At the March 2 meeting, the committee discussed plans to host food truck vendors at Falmouth Heights, Surf Drive Beach, Old Silver Beach, Bristol Beach, and Chappy Beach, plus a mobile vendor, with vendor selections due in April. Beach Superintendent Maggie Clayton reported on lifeguard and parking attendant hiring and training for the June 27 opening day, noting several beach structures require repair.

The committee approved sending a letter to the Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs regarding coastal resilience initiatives.
