Board of Assessors approves exemptions and abatements

FALMOUTH — Board of Assessors approves exemptions and abatements in closed session. Chair Robert Dolan and Member Bruce J Beardsley voted unanimously on April 9 to grant exemptions for a veteran property at 8 Fetlock Circle and a senior property at 246 Carriage Shop Road. The board also approved personal property abatements numbered 44, 45, 52, 55, 60, 71, and 72, denied real estate applications numbered 4 and 5, and granted real estate application number 6.

Member Joseph M Clancy was absent from the entire executive session. The Assessing Department announced hiring Assistant Director James O'Neill, who begins April 13, and Data Collector Carla Davis, who begins April 21.
