Falmouth Board of Health approves nitrogen-reducing septic systems across four construction projects. The board unanimously approved Innovative/Alternative Technology systems at 348 and 350 Old Meetinghouse Road, 162 Sandwich Road, and Lot 370 Ashumet Road, all using KleanTu NitROE 2KS treatment technology to reduce nitrogen in regulated areas. At 65 Walker Street, the board approved an I/A system achieving a 52 percent nitrogen reduction despite increased flow.

The board also unanimously endorsed a framework designating a town Responsible Management Entity to oversee I/A systems and contractor compliance, assigning oversight to a specific town department rather than leaving it to private contractors.
