Board of Health continues irrigation well review; I/A letter approved

Health, Board of · Meeting of April 13, 2026

FALMOUTH — Board of Health approves I/A system operator letter; continues well variance review. Member George Heufelder's letter on interpreting I/A system performance data, incorporating board feedback, was approved unanimously. The board voted to continue review of an irrigation well variance request at 468 Davisville Road, citing concerns about plan clarity and incomplete site information; board members signaled plans to improve the well application form with minimum submission criteria.

Health Agent Scott McGann reported an E. coli detection in an untreated water sample that prompted a non-boil-water order; Chair Jed Goldstone will meet with the Town Manager and Drinking Water Superintendent to clarify how the town can improve plain-language communication of such notices to residents.
