Committee endorses DEIB consultant RFP, welcomes new members
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee · Meeting of April 1, 2026
Falmouth's DEIB Advisory Committee unanimously endorses consultant RFP for 18-month strategic plan. Town Manager Mike Renshaw and HR Director Susan Lumping, with input from the Massachusetts Municipal Association's Jillian Harvey, will hire a consultant to develop the plan before recruiting a permanent DEIB Officer, contingent on FY28 budget. Committee members pressed Renshaw on whether the effort should extend to community engagement and establish a clear reporting mechanism for residents experiencing bias incidents.
The Committee, which expanded to seven members with the addition of Ocean Eversley and Diana Manchester Barrell, approved by the Select Board, also noted that Chair Mananjo Jonahson will step down in June.
