FALMOUTH — Water Quality Management Committee reviews $15 billion regional project costs. Bruce Walton of the New England Environmental Water Association presented a financial modeling tool showing Cape Cod-wide costs could reach $15 billion over 20 years, exceeding earlier estimates of $4 billion to $6 billion. The Committee heard updates on Mashpee's $108 million wastewater treatment plant expected to reduce nitrogen to Waquoit Bay by 30 percent and Falmouth's Great Pond Phase 1 sewer rescheduled to mid-May.
It deferred consideration of whether to recommend the Select Board submit a letter concerning the Reserve at Quashnet Valley Country Club development in Mashpee.
