Conservation Commission extends Menauhant Beach restoration permit

Falmouth Conservation Commission unanimously extended a five-year permit for the Menauhant Beach restoration project. The Commission's vote covers reconstruction of two groins and approximately 23,000 cubic yards of beach nourishment, timed to coordinate with a pending state bridge project. Administrator Jennifer Lincoln explained that Massachusetts DOT approval remains pending.
The Commission continued hearings on bulkhead and dock expansion at Falmouth Pier 37 (April 1), common dock construction (July 1), and residential improvements (March 25) involving mitigation disputes.
