Falmouth Council on Aging approves scan card check-in policy for participant tracking. The board unanimously backed the measure, which supports state statistical reporting and program selection documentation. Director J.
Bishop reported that in January 2026 the Senior Services Department enrolled 104 new participants, bringing total enrollment to 9,295, and recorded 6,275 participant check-ins, 706 volunteer hours, and 210 transportation rides. The FY27 budget includes a proposed $27,494 increase for a part-time laborer to support Select Board evening meetings and a $390 equipment increase for Constant Contact and Volgistics database systems. The board also discussed generator options to provide backup power for the entire Senior Center facility and parking lot after a recent storm-related outage.
