Cultural Council approves Letter of Agreement for July 1 film screening

Falmouth Cultural Council finalizes July 1 documentary screening as 250th anniversary event. The council approved a Letter of Agreement with Highfield Hall covering $1,500 in projection and sound equipment costs for the screening of "Democracy." Treasurer Ilene Karnow reported $20,531.33 in the town account with approximately $9,900 available after pending expenses, and noted the Select Board has approved an additional $5,000 in town funding for fiscal 2027. The council is also distributing 500 bilingual "Card to Culture" postcards through the Falmouth Service Center and planning a community art project on the theme "America: Beautiful, and…" including a potential community quilt and student essay competition.
