Falmouth Cultural Council backs $300 promotional push, names new chair. The council unanimously approved spending on a retractable banner and five foam boards for display at grant-recipient events and unanimously elected Alice Kociemba as chair following a co-chair resignation. Treasurer Ilene Karnow reported an available balance of $9,280 after grant payouts and musician stipend reservations.
The council is exploring outreach initiatives including a Card to Culture pamphlet, a possible Falmouth's Got Talent event with community volunteers, and a drop-in art studio at Gus Canty, with member Ocean Eversley volunteering to staff the weekly space. Music at the Table has secured $8,500 in foundation grants plus $1,000 from Falmouth Rotary Club through Falmouth Together We Can, funding the program through August 1, 2027.
