Cultural Council discusses community engagement and grantee reception

Falmouth Cultural Council approves January minutes and explores community engagement strategies. The council reported a $23,261 town account balance with $8,600 in reserves after accounting for encumbered grant funds and musician stipends. Co-chair Alice Kociemba presented a proposal to collaborate with the town's 250th Anniversary Committee on a documentary screening and call for art with themes such as "America: Beautiful and Resilient." Ryan Walker from the Commission on Substance Use announced that Opioid Abatement Funds are available to the town and could support a joint project combining treatment, recovery, harm reduction, and prevention with an arts focus.
The council set its annual Grantee Reception for April 25 at the Falmouth Museums on the Green.
