DEIB Committee charts 2026 priorities, defers prior minutes.

Falmouth's DEIB Advisory Committee deferred prior minutes and set a twelve-month calendar of diversity initiatives. Chair Mananjo Jonahson and members Amy Bower, Suzanne Thomas, and Jim Newman reviewed 2025 successes including Indigenous People's Day and a Select Board-approved land acknowledgement statement, then identified continuity challenges and a stalled employee DEI survey that a departing consultant never completed. The committee plans monthly focal topics from Black History Month through Indigenous People's Day, plus an open house for outside diversity partners in October, and assigned action items including outreach to the local newspaper for a regular diversity column and a follow-up meeting with the Town Manager on the consultant RFP and immigration policy.
