DEIB Committee reconvenes to challenge consultant RFP, seeks officer post clarity.

Falmouth's DEIB Advisory Committee voted to draft a memo before the Select Board reviews a consultant RFP on May 4. Chair Mananjo Jonahson and members including Amy Bower and Ocean Eversley expressed concern that the 18-month RFP does not explicitly address whether the town will fund a dedicated DEIB Officer position, risking DEI work becoming performative. Henry St.

Julien, Falmouth Public Schools DEIB Director, urged the town to maintain the officer post as essential. The committee will finalize its recommendations April 23 and April 29 for board submission.
