Energy Committee approves January minutes, swears two new members

FALMOUTH — Energy Committee approves prior meeting minutes and welcomes new members. Two newly appointed members, Olwen Huxley and Jim Dore, were sworn in at the February 18 meeting, bringing the committee to seven members total. The committee reviewed the completed Town Greenhouse Gas Carbon Tracker Report and Sustainability Specialist updates covering solar installations, heat pump deployment at the Chamber of Commerce, and progress on a MassCEC grant application for school energy improvements.
The committee discussed spring education programming, including follow-up seminars to a well-attended February 9 Eversource presentation titled "The Grid Unlocked," and noted a National Grid gas rate case filing with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities.
