The committee heard from Sustainability Specialist Stephanie Madsen that the Water Treatment Plant solar project is now fully operational with a Power Purchase Agreement rate reduced to 0.09 dollars per kilowatt-hour. The town submitted a 30,000 dollar grant application for geothermal test wells at two elementary schools, and the Falmouth Public Schools added an electric van to its fleet with a 7,500-dollar rebate.
Committee Member Paul Skudder hosted a June 28 Sustainable House Tour attended by 13 residents and moved to have the committee submit an EV Vision to the Select Board; the motion was tabled.
