FALMOUTH — Energy Committee re-elects Scott Mueller as chair and David Leslie as clerk. Sustainability Specialist Stephanie Madsen reported completion of the Gus Canty Recreation Center solar upgrade, increasing capacity to 29 kilowatts and saving more than $2,500 annually, and a Morse Pond School HVAC electrification project totaling $182,000, fully grant-funded. The Committee approved a $5 million grant application to MassCEC Green School Works for geothermal systems at an elementary school.
Following winter storm Hernando, Madsen is developing a resiliency hub proposal for Falmouth High School that would combine carport solar, battery storage, and backup generation.
