Falmouth marks 250 years of independence with July 1 plaque dedication. The 250th Anniversary Task Force finalized plans for a ceremony at Falmouth Heights scheduled for 10:00-11:00 am on July 1, with remarks on the site's historic significance. The committee will seek participation from the Col Henry Knox Regimental Color Guard, live music, and U.S.

Coast Guard presence offshore. Supporting programming includes lectures by Dr. David Martin and Dr.

Richard Bell, a calligraphy demonstration by former White House calligrapher Rick Pallus, and a July 3 community day. Fourteen banners will line Main Street from June 29 through August 2.
