Falmouth 250 sets July 1 plaque dedication at Falmouth Heights

250th Anniversary Task Force · Meeting of April 15, 2026

Falmouth 250 Task Force schedules July 1 dedication for the town's 250th anniversary marker. The committee locked in a 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. ceremony at Falmouth Heights to dedicate the commemorative marker and brass plaque. Bob Ripley will coordinate logistics through the Town Special Events Working Group, fielding questions on attendance projections, publicity, parking, and speakers focused on local history and the coin's design.

In related business, the task force will work with the 300 Committee and Town Tree Warden Jeremiah Pearson to select and place a Liberty tree with its own commemorative plaque. Required permits are filed; the committee will report to the Select Board in May.
