Falmouth 250 Task Force outlines spring and summer programming schedule
250th Anniversary Task Force · Meeting of January 14, 2026
Falmouth 250 Task Force plans programs for town's bicentennial year. The committee outlined six educational programs through July, including lectures by historians David Martin and Richard Bell, and a proposed July 3 Community Day at the Museum on the Green featuring a Declaration of Independence reading, music, and re-enactors. A permanent plaque dedication ceremony is scheduled for July 1 at Falmouth Heights.
Committee members also received an update on a Liberty Tree Society initiative with the town arborist and discussed a collaboration proposal from Indivisible Falmouth for a civil-rights-focused improvisational program.
