Falmouth Finance Committee approves $410,652 in mid-year transfers. The committee unanimously approved approximately $410,652 in budget transfers from the Health Insurance account to cover departmental overspending in FY26, including $44,249.47 to the Police Department and $281,403.58 to the Department of Public Works across multiple accounts. Deputy Town Manager Peter Johnson-Staub noted that police overtime was driven by unexpected events including storms, and that the department, while fully staffed, is "not necessarily appropriately staffed." Approximately $597,000 remains in the health insurance account.
