Finance Committee approves $64.9M school budget with 5.8% increase.

Falmouth Finance Committee unanimously backs $64.9 million school budget with 5.8 percent increase. Director of Finance and Operations Paul Dart reported the town contribution rising to $54,944,000, with out-of-district placements budgeted at $4,061,000 and transportation for specialized-needs students up $250,000. The committee also approved $2 million for a feasibility study of Lawrence School renovation through the Massachusetts School Building Authority, with preliminary estimates suggesting $100 million in structural upgrades needed.

In a series of unanimous votes, the committee approved general government, public works, and community development budgets totaling more than $11 million across departments.
