Falmouth Finance Committee advances $27 million in FY27 appropriations. The committee's votes mostly passed unanimously, though the residential property tax exemption program drew the only contest, passing 8 to 3 after discussion about Select Board acceptance. Town Manager Mike Renshaw and Finance Director Laura Sitrin explained the program requires a six-month lead time before December 2027 tax-rate setting to allow applications before the rate is set.

The committee also allocated $950,000 to the Affordable Housing Trust following an amended RFP request and $1.5 million in Free Cash, pending adjustment for storm costs at Town Meeting.
