FALMOUTH — Health Board approves urine storage tank and four septic projects. The Falmouth Board of Health unanimously approved a nitrogen-reduction urine storage system at 54 Sam Turner Road, subject to Massachusetts DEP confirmation, along with innovative alternative septic systems at 173 Metoxit Road and 207 Coonamesset Circle (both with 10 mg/L discharge limits), and setback waivers at 81 Crystal Springs Avenue. The board deferred projects at 46 Fox Lane and 85 Brick Kiln Road to February 9, with member George Heufelder expressing concerns about Amphidrome technology based on past performance issues at AutoCamp.
The board unanimously voted to send an amended letter on freshwater pond quality to the Select Board and agreed to direct staff to draft correspondence with the Water Department addressing confusion around lead service-line testing and notification procedures.
