Planning Board continues duplex and contractor's yard hearings.
Planning Board · Meeting of June 2, 2026
Falmouth Planning Board deferred two contested development applications on June 2. The board voted unanimously to continue a Special Permit and Site Plan Review for a five-duplex, 50-bedroom housing project at 538 North Falmouth Highway to July 7, 2026, after abutters raised traffic and screening concerns at the congested intersection; applicant Kevin P. Klauer II representing Anthony Amaru proposed 43 parking spaces on 1.72 acres in the B3 district, with engineering staff questioning the parking calculation and retaining wall constructability.
In a second action, the board continued a Special Permit modification and Site Plan Review for Outerland Holdings LLC to expand a contractor's yard at 348 and 350 Old Meeting House Road to June 23, 2026, with staff requesting clarification on lighting plans, equipment inventory, and waiver requests. The board also unanimously endorsed an "Approval Not Required" plan by Jean Perra to subdivide a lot at 499 Old Barnstable Road without regard to zoning or buildability.
