Planning Board continues Wendy's application, defers subdivision decision on Carriage Shop Road project.

Planning Board · Meeting of January 27, 2026

Falmouth Planning Board defers major subdivision decision pending engineering review. The board unanimously continued the public hearing on George Botelho, Ttee's proposal to divide seven acres at 500 Carriage Shop Road into two lots and upgrade an existing dirt way to a paved roadway with municipal water and drainage to February 24, 2026. The Town Engineer submitted a 38-point review identifying questions on drainage design, sight distance, utility coordination, and compliance with the Waquoit Bay Coastal Pond Overlay District, prompting board members Charlotte Harris and Jim Fox to request additional study time.

Chair John Druley stated the board would defer waiver decisions until the referral review is complete. The applicant also moved the Wendy's restaurant application at 0 Worcester Court to February 10.
