FALMOUTH — Police Station Advisory Committee advances $65 million project with design phase underway. Chair Boyd DeMello presided over the January 9 meeting, at which the committee unanimously approved prior minutes and reviewed progress on the proposed facility at 100 Brick Kiln Road. Town Manager Michael Renshaw and Assistant Town Manager Peter Johnson-Staub attended with Police Chief Jeffrey Lourie.

Tecton Architects and Vertex Companies LLC presented five site test fit options; the committee identified Option 5, featuring a two-story building with potential walkout basement, as the preferred design. Schematic Design runs through March 20, 2026, with construction cost estimates due February 27 (75 percent SD), May 22 (75 percent DD), and August 7 (50 percent CD). Environmental Site Assessment Phase 1 is scheduled for January 15, 2026; property survey is planned for late January or early February.
