Falmouth Recreation Committee approves revamped Summer Adventure Program balancing enrollment by grade in 2026. The restructured program caps grade 1 at 15 campers with 1:5 staff ratio and grades 2-6 at 24 campers each with 1:8 ratio, totaling 135 participants. The move addresses prior first-come, first-served registration that created uneven group sizes and bus-capacity challenges.
Recreation Director Julie Williams-Tinkham reported ongoing Gus Canty building maintenance issues, including persistent gymnasium roof leaks and Teen Center HVAC repairs scheduled for February 13. The committee also heard that skate park bids are under review and a preliminary design meeting for the Taft Playground renovation in Woods Hole was completed with further community input planned.
