Falmouth Recreation Committee updates staffing and facility plans. Director Julie Williams-Tinkham reported the Select Board approved a new year-round counselor position classification to expand youth programming for seventh and eighth graders with trips and field activities. Eleven summer counselors will return, up from seven previously, and a pilot teen summer camp will run June 29-July 10 for incoming seventh and eighth graders.
The skate park project is being rebid with 40 percent reduced scope after bids exceeded the roughly $550,000 budget. Director Williams-Tinkham formally requested the Gus Canty Community Center roof project be moved up in the capital plan from fiscal 2034 due to worsening leaks.
