Red Horse Inn Expansion Hearing Continued to June 9
Planning Board · Meeting of May 12, 2026
FALMOUTH — Planning Board defers decision on Red Horse Inn expansion. The board continued its hearing on Kevin P. Klauer's Site Plan Review and Special Permit applications for a renovation and expansion of the 26-room Red Horse Inn at 28 Falmouth Heights Road to June 9, 2026, with the decision deadline pushed to the end of June.
The revised proposal reduces new rooms from 14 to 8, bringing the total hotel inventory to 34 rooms on a 35,113-square-foot property. The project requires 38 parking spaces under town bylaw; the applicant plans to seek a Zoning Board Special Permit for gravel parking surfaces. Outstanding issues include handling of pre-existing non-conforming parking spaces along Jericho Path and drainage management for new paved areas.
Separately, the board unanimously endorsed an amended letter supporting the town's application for a One Stop For Growth grant for a Local Comprehensive Plan.
