Falmouth School Committee downgrades superintendent evaluation in contentious 6-3 vote. Superintendent Lori Duerr's evaluation was rescinded and changed from proficient to needs improvement, converting from summative to formative with no growth plan; Chair Kelly Welch, Vice-Chair Melissa Keefe, and Secretary Margaret Souza opposed. The same committee also approved 2026-2027 school handbooks 7-2 against community objection, retaining Lawrence School's dress code policy despite a request from resident Megan Zottoli to remove it.
The committee unanimously approved a $20,000 contract with Teaching & Learning Alliance for strategic planning and authorized North Falmouth Elementary truss repairs to begin June 27.
