FALMOUTH — Short-Term Rental Advisory Committee approves op-ed and presentation strategy for Town Meeting vote. The committee unanimously sent an amended opinion letter to the Falmouth Enterprise and Select Board, revising language on the legal status of STRs in residential zones after pushback from Erik Hammarlund, town official present. Elizabeth Kline will prepare slides covering committee introduction, context, lessons from other communities, bylaw provisions, and implementation impacts for a Town Meeting presentation.
The committee also discussed Board of Health feedback from a March 16 meeting, addressing concerns about regulatory scope and ensuring that scientific institutions such as the Marine Biological Laboratory can continue renting cottages on Devil's Lane without disruption.
