Falmouth Solid Waste Advisory Committee elects new leadership effective July 1, 2026. Chair Richard Merrick, Vice Chair D. Scott Peterson, and Secretary Kristine Copley were unanimously elected.
The committee unanimously endorsed a revised Environmentally Preferable Purchasing policy for town departments and unanimously voted to request that the Select Board authorize a higher-grade Senior Solid Waste Management Specialist position; the current classification constrains salary growth for Recycling and Solid Waste Coordinator Mary Ryther, whose role is currently 50 percent town-funded and 50 percent funded through Recycling Dividends Program grants, the final year such funding is available.
