Traffic Advisory Committee Approves Multiple Road Safety Measures

Traffic Advisory Committee · Meeting of March 16, 2026

Falmouth Traffic Advisory Committee approves safety infrastructure across town. Officer Joshua Oliver, Co-Chairperson, led the committee in recommending a Safety Zone on Main Street from Gifford Street to The Village Green, flashing crosswalk signs at Morse Pond School and Teaticket Elementary, and a timber guardrail at the Lewis Street curve. The committee directed DPW Engineering to review 134 Carriage Shop Road for sidewalk feasibility during paving and approved radar speed signs for the area.

A June traffic study will examine whether Benjamin Nye Road should become a dead-end or one-way route.
