The Falmouth Traffic Advisory Committee recommended multiple traffic safety improvements across town.
Traffic Advisory Committee · Meeting of September 28, 2026
FALMOUTH — The Falmouth Traffic Advisory Committee recommended multiple traffic safety improvements across town. Sgt. Joshua Oliver, Jed Cornock and Nicholas Croft reviewed traffic studies from Queen Street, Mill Road, Walker Street, Surf Drive and Acapesket Road, recommending pedestrian counts for the first three and police roll call additions for the latter two.
The committee recommended a yield-to-stop conversion at Main and West Main with markings, centerline markings on Minot Street, crosswalk warnings at Menauhant and Acapesket, and a caution children sign on Rockledge Drive. Resident-sticker parking and no-thru-trucks signage require site visits. The committee and Town Manager Renshaw jointly recommended deferring standby staging at the Steamship Authority terminal until the old ticket office is removed.
