Falmouth traffic committee recommended multiple road-safety improvements at intersections and town roads.

Traffic Advisory Committee · Meeting of October 19, 2026

Falmouth traffic committee recommended multiple road-safety improvements at intersections and town roads. Four members reviewed requests for stop signs at Main Street and West Main Street, the end of Railroad Avenue, Juniper Point Road at the Steamship Authority lot, Lake Leaman Road at Jericho Path, and the Railroad Avenue bike path exit. The panel also recommended centerline markings on Minot Street, a Caution Children sign at Rockledge Drive, and No Standing signs on Railroad Avenue and Luscombe Avenue.

Police were recommended to add Surf Drive and Acapesket to speed enforcement lists. The committee recommended a letter to MassDOT for intersection improvements and deferred the Steamship Authority's standby staging request pending old ticket office removal.
