Falmouth's Water Quality Management Committee advances wastewater outfall planning toward late June Environmental Impact Report submission. Wastewater Superintendent Amy Lowell reported that an Interbasin Transfer Act application for the project was submitted May 8, with Environmental Impact Report targeted for late June. The committee heard updates on regional sewerage projects including Nantucket's $44 million sewer expansion—to be entirely town-funded—and Mashpee's Proposition 2.5 ballot override for Waquoit Bay sewering design.

Board of Health member George Heufelder presented findings from a septic system performance analysis, with the Board of Health developing a two-tier enforcement approach.
