Falmouth Waterways Committee unanimously backs waterway safety signage for boaters at Washburn's Spit. The Committee recommended that WEBNERR install durable, secure signs directing boats away from swimmers and a difficult navigation channel, following discussions between Harbormaster Gregg Fraser and WEBNERR Director Tonna Marie Rogers. The state accepted a $191,210 low bid from Dan Dell Construction for the Waquoit Bay boat ramp at Town Landing Road, with the Department of Public Works to address parking once the ramp is complete.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers classified dredging of Megansett and Squeeteague Harbors as improvement rather than maintenance dredging, extending project timelines.
