Waterways Committee postpones dredge checklist vote, updates harbor projects.

Waterways Committee · Meeting of May 6, 2026

FALMOUTH — Waterways Committee unanimously approves prior minutes, defers dredge checklist vote. Chairman Joe Voci and the committee decided to revise the dredge checklist for greater comprehensiveness before formal adoption. Harbormaster Gregg Fraser reported that town capital budget cuts have created uncertainty about funding for Great Harbor Wharf dock replacement and second-year power pedestal work; dredging of Green Pond and Eel River approach was completed this spring.

Great Harbor Boat Ramp is scheduled to open May 13, 2026, and the Waquoit Bay ramp project, funded by the State Public Access Board, will go to bid this summer with construction starting after Columbus Day and completion by January 15, 2027.
