Zoning Board continues Habitat for Humanity affordable housing project to March

FALMOUTH — Zoning Board continued an affordable housing project hearing and denied a modification request. Chair Susanne Murphy ordered the continuation of the Habitat for Humanity comprehensive permit for fourteen single-family dwellings at 48 Benjamin Nyes Lane, North Falmouth, to March 12, 2026, after applicant Joseph Henderson addressed seventy-three peer review comments on lighting, sidewalks, guest parking, and water service. Member Anthony P.
Petrucci pressed for dark-sky-friendly lighting and no-on-street-parking covenants; members also questioned whether the applicant would extend town water to an abutter. In a separate action, the board unanimously denied a modification request by 85 Brick Kiln LLC to add office and bathroom space to a previously approved comprehensive permit, with member Marc Finneran stating the applicant had already received more density than warranted under the settlement.
