Zoning Board delays Habitat hearing; Broken Bow project draws drainage concerns.

Falmouth Zoning Board continued Habitat for Humanity's fourteen-unit North Falmouth project and held the first hearing on Broken Bow Residences' twelve-unit duplex proposal in East Falmouth. The Board voted 5-0 to declare itself competent under Chapter 40B, finding the town's affordable-housing inventory above 10 percent, and continued Broken Bow's hearing to March 12 after neighbors raised concerns about drainage, AC noise, and traffic. Chair Susanne Murphy, Vice Chair James T.
Morse, Clerk Frank K. Duffy, Member Marc Finneran, and Member D. Scott Peterson all voted in favor.
The project would add three affordable units. A separate discussion with Town Counsel Maura O'Keefe over a proposed standing negotiating subcommittee for 40B appeals surfaced disagreement on legal strategy and responsiveness.
