Library Branches Wrap Busy Week Of Summer Programs
Falmouth's public boards kept up a steady midsummer meeting schedule this week, while the library's East and North Falmouth branches ran a full slate of family programs, and the Falmouth Patch aggregation highlighted a piping plover story and a spate of new cocktail-bar buzz around town.

The Conservation Commission held a hearing Wednesday, July 29, and the Zoning Board of Appeals followed Thursday, July 30, with a public hearing and open meeting, according to the town's civic calendar. No agenda details beyond the meeting notices were available in today's town postings.

The Falmouth Public Library's three branches carried a busy events lineup this week. At the Main branch, offerings included the "Road to Revolution: The Boston Tea Party" program, an "Ask a Master Gardener" session, the Regal Seagull Robotics Team meeting, a Retro-Game Night featuring Nintendo 64, and an evening concert with Louie Louie and Planet Zing.
At the East Falmouth branch, families could take part in a drop-in craft session, Library LEGO Time, "Why Knot Knit Nite," a scavenger hunt, and "It's Game Time," with a Maker Mondays straw-rocket program set for August 3. The North Falmouth branch hosted its own scavenger hunt Friday, July 31, with Games on the Library Lawn and a Stay & Make craft session both scheduled for the coming week.
