Falmouth High School opens registration for 2026 fall sports season.

FALMOUTH -- The most notable local sports news this week comes from Falmouth High School, where fall athletics registration has begun.

TOWN -- The Gus Canty Community Center, run by Falmouth Recreation, is operating on summer hours: Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., and closed Saturday and Sunday.

HIGH SCHOOL -- Falmouth High School announced that registration for the 2026 fall sports season is now open through FamilyID. The school says all athletes must be registered through FamilyID and have a current physical on file with the nursing office, or supply one at their first tryout or practice. Tryouts and practices for all fall sports are set to begin Monday, August 24. Coaches are listed for several fall programs, including football (Stephen Aborn), field hockey (Rachael Curtis), cross country (Connor Markham), boys golf (Jim Brooks), volleyball (Nikki Shea), girls soccer (Jenna Noelte), boys soccer (David Plourde) and cheer (Shanna Travers). The school directs questions to the appropriate sport's coach.
