Sewer Crews Keep Brick Kiln, Maravista Roads Closed Through Summer
FALMOUTH — Sewer construction crews kept stretches of Brick Kiln Road and Maravista Avenue Extension closed on weekdays this week, even as a string of Cape Cod wildlife advisories — including what officials called the largest known bottlenose dolphin stranding in Massachusetts history — drew attention to the waters off town beaches.
TOWN HALL The town's ongoing sewer project construction continues to close Brick Kiln Road between Sandwich Road and Oxbow Road, and Maravista Avenue Extension between Teaticket Highway and Mattapan Street, according to a town construction update. Both closures run 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays until further notice, with drivers directed to plan alternate routes through the work zones.
COMMUNITY & ARTS The Falmouth Public Library's Main branch launched "Road to Revolution: The Boston Tea Party," a new program running Friday and Saturday, July 17-18, tied to the nation's semiquincentennial commemorations.
