Falmouth Conservation Commission Elects Dan Walsh Vice Chair at Brief Virtual Meeting

FALMOUTH — July 15, 2026 — Falmouth Conservation Commission wraps a 20-minute virtual meeting, elects vice chair, and closes one of five open hearings. At the July 15 Zoom session, broadcast on FCTV Channel 9, the six-member panel — two commissioners absent, alternate Mike Beckerle filling in — voted unanimously to elect Dan Walsh as vice chair effective immediately, with Walsh abstaining from his own vote. The commission closed the Notice of Intent hearing for Amanda Hunt's residential addition and septic replacement project at 2227 Edgewater Drive West in the Seacoast Shores neighborhood after Cape and Islands Engineering surveyor Jake Frickey presented revisions pulling the deck back from a coastal bank and relocating the mitigation planting area, prompting staff to confirm the homeowner was "all set and okay" with the changes. Four other hearings — 34 Bridge Street, 20 Associates Road, 8 Associates Road, and 282 Quisset Road — were continued to August 5, with conservation staff citing outstanding state agency comments and unresolved prior concerns at the Bridge Street property.
