Conservation Commission closes hearings on two coastal projects, continues enforcement cases

Conservation Commission · Meeting of August 26, 2026

Falmouth Conservation Commission closes hearings on coastal projects. The Commission took under advisement coastal bank stabilization at 165 Upalong Road by Cowan Family Real Estate Trust and a pool, bulkhead, and addition project at 8 Associates Road by Chapoquoit Realty Trust, which must address 4,354 square feet of restoration plantings from a 2009 order never completed. The Commission continued a dredging request at 34 Bridge Street to September 16, with Conservation Commission Administrator Jennifer Lincoln flagging concern that approval could set a precedent for wider channel access, potentially impacting marine habitat.

The Commission issued Orders of Conditions for two other properties.
